The first 1,000 lbs. of stuff went out today. While I was getting that ready for the movers, my sweet Gracie thought that would be a great time to give her ponies and barbies a bath in the dog water. :)

baking a cake-

Going through my pantry--trying to use up what I can find before we move. I gave a box of cake mix to Kate and Ella to figure out. I told them they could bake the cake entirely by themselves, if they worked out on a sheet of paper, who was going to do what. If they could get through making the cake without fighting, then they could have some. If they chose to fight, then Scott and I would have the cake all to ourselves. They agreed, and they did a great job!

And guess who can get dressed entirely by herself??

Last night we went to a swim team banquet, but when we got there, there was not enough seating. So instead of staying at the banquet, we decided to go to our favorite restaurant instead. :) It was a very nice family dinner, Scott and I love chatting with our growing girls.

Ella's new swissflex glasses...she picked these out when we were in Texas. Her last pair of swissflex lasted 4 years, then she finally outgrew them.

A nice dinner with Scott's dad and brother. They were a huge help on the yard sale morning.

Poor Gracie, she has a cold...she's got the kleenax thing figured out...but getting the kleenax to the trash can, we've still got some work to do. :)

getting caught up-

Wow--just when I think things could not get any more hectic, there is something else to do. I guess this is pretty typical for getting ready to move, but an overseas move is especially complicated. We are in the thick of arranging our flights, scheduling movers, organizing all of our belongings, getting ready to ship my Volvo, figuring out how the dogs will get to Guam, etc.--my list goes on. Just want to get caught up on the blog here, and post a few pics from the past week. Yesterday Kate and Ella had a swim meet, and they did fantastic!! This was Ella's first meet, and she LOVED it. :) I am so, so proud of her. Of course, you know Ella...she wasn't nervous at all. Kate had a very good meet too--she improved 2 of her personal best times. Here are a few pics from yesterday:

Swim meets are long--8am till 12:30pm. Gracie and I spent the second half of the meet outside, while I'd go back in the pool area to snap a few pics when it was time for a race. Scott was at home managing a massive yard sale at our house (& our neighbors next door). We got rid of SO much, we literally sold everything we put in the sale.

To get these great pics, I was pretending I couldn't see her through the branches, I kept saying, "Where is she??"--she was so funny, giggling as she peeked out through the branches. :)

And I LOVE this pic of Gracie washing her baby in the sink. This was taken a couple of days ago. She is so sweet with this baby doll.
