recent pics:
Someone's going to be TWO very soon!!
freaky hail storm followed by a pretty rainbow...
ears pierced (take two)--Ella had lost an earring a few months ago, and the piercing closed up before I noticed, so we let the other hole close back up too--then repierced:
Kate & Ella have entered the kindle world, and LOVE it.
Getting very excited about Guam! Funny, recently I've encountered a few people that are so negative about this tropical island... (talking about cockroaches, snakes, island fever, humidity, etc.) Of course, they have never been to Guam. :) No worries, we are still super excited about this new adventure...a few pessimistic people aren't going to get us down. The girls can hardly wait! I know many people either love it or hate it...the people I know that have been there LOVED it. One of the moms of a child in Ella's class is from Guam...she has told me about some really neat mysterious things about the island...like a hill that you drive down...you stop in the middle of the hill, put your car in neutral and your car creeps back up the hill on it's own. Awesome. Oh, and our house rented in less than one hour after Scott posting it online. So, we are happy about that and feel good about who we are renting to.

staging the house....
We will be selling or renting the house, so we have been consumed with getting it ready. Here are the pics of the kitchen, living room, and master bath. My house is NOT this clean. We just shove all of our stuff from room to room right now for the pics. :)

TGIF
Okay, so keeping up with this blog is getting slightly more difficult. Kate has moved up a swim group, so instead of 2 hours at the pool a week (with Kate & Ella in the same practice group), we are now spending 5 hours at the pool a week. Kate-3 hours, and Ella-2 hours, at different times. So for one glorious week, my life was so easy, with them doing the same thing at the same time. We are adjusting to Scott being home, and it's WONDERFUL. He's fixing and organizing everything...and I love it. The kids are so happy to have their daddy around again too.
Gracie and I just went up to Ella's class to do art today. I went through my favorite Mark Kistler's books (Draw Squad & Drawing in 3-D) to find a lesson on simple perspective drawings, specifically buildings- I ended up combining a couple of the lessons I found. I had never attempted to try perspective with a group this young...and they did REMARKABLY WELL!!! I was so pleased, and so was Ella's teacher. Their cities could be anywhere- in another world, underwater, wherever! We spent a good 20 minutes just talking about all the things you find in a city- buildings, people, stop signs, shops, restaurants, cars, etc. The kids were so creative...some of the boys had creative suggestions, like 'Port-a-potties' and 'garbage dumps'. :)
and here are a few more pics from the past week:
Gracie loves to stack the kid cups. :)
