Redeployment ceremony:

So many thoughts and emotions, but I'm just going to post a few pics for now. We are so incredibly happy. The ceremony took place at 1:00 A.M.---it was WONDERFUL.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow. I'm clearing the memory card in my camera, so I can take lots of pictures for our very special day tomorrow.

Ella is now on the swim team! YAY ELLA!! She has been working so hard the past few months on her swimming strokes.

Kate is sharking the floors, trying to get the house cleaned up--well, at least the downstairs.

And my sweet Gracie, drinking a Capri-sun & eating string cheese in footed PJs...life is good.

Japan...

Just keeping up with the latest. This whole situation is especially close to our hearts since we lived at Camp Zama for 3 years, and have friends and family over there. If we were still there, we would have been making an extended trip home. The department of defense is picking up the bill.

We went to the trails this morning, it was great!! Got a long run in FINALLY...so nice to see the sun. Infact, I'd rate this as my favorite run of all time. The kids kept asking, "Can we do this again?" :) I love Washington...even more when it's not raining!

**I was just reading an article saying that a great way to boost self-esteem for young writers is to post their great works on a personal blog. Kate was happy to let me scan it and post. :) Writing causes her some anxiety, but we are working through it. She is creative, just organizing her thoughts on paper gets overwhelming for her sometimes.
