Halloween weekend is here!

My girls are eating chicken noodle soup and watching The Sound of Music as I sit here in the office, catching up on the blog. We had a Halloween costume party/dance at their school tonight. It was so much fun. **Scott, you would be so proud of how both Kate and Ella were tearing up the dance floor!! I'll get to those pics in a second. First, here are the girls before the party, I LOVE THIS FIRST PIC!!---I hardly ever say that, but to get all three of them smiling is so hard.

Fern

Kate was Fern from Charlotte's Web for her character presentation book report today. She did awesome! I thought for sure she'd be more nervous...the past few days she had been telling me that she was scared to do it, but she was completely fine. She was 2nd in her class to present, I think that helped. I felt so sorry for the kids that tensed up, and a few even started crying. I remember presenting a book report to my 4th grade class long ago.

I guess that's all I have, kind-of a blah day. We all got flu shots today. Ick...little bit of drama there w/Ella, she did not get the Starbucks strawberries and cream frappuccino treat afterwards. Kate and Gracie, no problem. Kate had swim team practice tonight. VERY ready for the weekend!

On our way to the concert last night, there was a beautiful rainbow. I passed my camera to Kate, she loves shooting with the DSLR. It will be her camera soon, because I'm getting a new one! HOORAY! Here are the rainbow shots by Kate-

Ella had her first performance with the youth chorus tonight. I'm just putting videos on here for now. Sorry Scott, this is the absolute best job I could do with an onery 18 month old shoving a sucker in my eye.

Today was beautiful. I sent Ella outside to do her homework. We ended up with about 10 kids on our driveway just a little while after I shot these pics:

Gracie's favorite spot...hanging out in the folded up treadmill. Grumble, grumble. I have to pull her out of here at least twice a day.

Gracie LOVES playing with her little people in the dollhouses. She's starting to make them talk and kiss each other...she'll say, "MUUUUUAH!" This is something we do for at least an hour every morning.

And after Ella didn't do so great on a timed addition test at school, she asked her teacher if she could take home an extra copy of the test so she could practice at home. Cracks me up. Is this truly my child?

Oh, and a few more. Gracie also loves watching mommy build tall towers so she can knock them down.
