The adventure begins....BLOGGING BREAK

I have to take a blogging break for now. Packers come tomorrow. Our goal for today is to pack everything we will need with us, and get it out of the house-and to Jennifer's, so it doesn't accidently get moved. Our house is more clean and organized that it's ever been (thanks to my super neat-freak husband that's had entirely too much time on his hands)--wish I could enjoy this clean house for a little longer. :) We will have Scott's computer, so I'll check regular email still. I'll blog again sometime after June 30 to update...we will be in our new home in KS waiting patiently for our things to arrive.

Yesterday the girls and I had a great time visiting Kate's first grade teacher out at her farm. This is all they will be talking about for weeks now. Kate's favorite thing now is fishing--she caught baby catfish. Ella liked the chickens. :) Here are a few pics:

Oh, how we will miss these girls!:

Off to Ella's eye Dr. appointment. I hope to hear that patching has helped her right eye get stronger. QUICK UPDATE: We just got home from her appt., and there has been no change at all since we started patching. :( So she is to continue patching, and her prescription will likely change next visit (with a new Dr. in KS). Thankfully, she doesn't mind the patch too much. This morning I put a headband in Ella's hair (instead of what I usually do) , and she said, "WOW! I look like a basketball shooter." :)

Family Day at the pool...

The girls are exhausted. I really think they will be down by 7:30 tonight, which is unusual for the summer. Kate was not tall enough for these water slides last year, so she spent her entire day enjoying the slides. I'm sure she broke some kind of record for how many times she went down the slides in a 4 hour period. Ella kept asking Scott and me "How many more days until I'll be tall enough for the slides too?" :) 2 more days until Ella's 5th Birthday!

entertainment on a rainy day...

Avery and Macey are over today, and they are playing "adoption center" in Kate's room. They have all the stuffed animals lined up waiting to be adopted. I need to snap a picture of that before I forget. Scott just ran out to Starbucks to grab us coffee, we need the caffine boost to get through this very BLAH cleaning day. :) Here are Kate, Avery and Macey racing outside when the sun came out:

Time is flying...

Our time living here in Texas is coming to an end, and time is flying by for us. We have been enjoying our friends here as much as we can before we move at the end of the month. We will miss our friends dearly, but not this Texas heat. Here are a few pictures from this week---

Kate at Summer Smash (VBS):

Look! Kate caught a little lizard:
Ella enjoying an evening popsicle:
A night out!:
A little B-day party for the girls. Kate had not officially had a B-day cake, so we had a little B-day/slumber party with their best friends last night:

The High School Musical Game for the Wii was the PERFECT gift for Ella:

And a fun time swimming with Avery and Macey:

The girls fell asleep right after coming home from swimming, so I finally got a chance to hop on here and update the blog. :) Youtube videos of the girls recital dances will be on here soon.

Recital Day!

Dress rehearsal was this morning. The recital is tonight, so this is an exhausting day for Scott and me, but the girls are both on cloud 9. Ella LOVES to be on stage, and Kate is more into performing this year...she did great this morning on her ballet and jazz dances. Jennifer and I worked it out where I was the picture taker, and she did the videos, so I'll be putting the youtube links on here later. Here are a few pics...
